This was a gift to a loved one. For her birthday we released a swedish album she had recorded many years ago, and I was honored to be asked to illustrate the album cover.

Time spent: About 2 hours [ including researching the honeysuckle, full drawing and finding the perfect font! ]

The official county flower for Bohus, her home county, is the beautiful honeysuckle.

The album is named Bohusvisan in swedish, which translates roughly to the Bohus song. Because of the albums close connection to Bohus, I chose to portray the flower and keep the rest of the cover very simple.

- Brainstorming general idea - settling on the honeysuckle as motive

- Sketching - quick sketch with pen and paper then transferring to PC

- Digital sketch

- Finding a good font (I had originally planned to do the lettering myself but because of life circumstances my time to finish this project was cut short )

- Color testing and trying different styles
